The Welland Activator is a three-year initiative in Elland and the lower valley of Calderdale to foster stronger connections and a greater sense of belonging.

The Welland Activator began in 2022 and continues until early 2026, offering a diverse range of opportunities for individuals of all ages and backgrounds to participate and contribute. Find out more below!
Our inclusive performance company of both professional and non-professional dancers from Calderdale. Open to all adults, no experience needed.
Our signature dance and movement classes have been running throughout the project, alongside monthly walks and conversation clubs.
Celebration events and workshops have been running throughout the project, including visiting other groups and organisations and celebrating Refugee Week.
Calder Navigation is a podcast that navigates the complexities of life through the stories of the people of Calderdale. Featuring wonderful people from across the area.
Welland is a micro arts and wellbeing festival in Elland. It was commissioned in 2024 for Calderdale’s year of culture – CultureDale!
