Curious Motion’s first multi-year project, focused on reducing loneliness and isolation in and around Elland through dance, movement and creativity.
Introducing the Welland Activator, a long-term initiative in Elland and the lower valley of Calderdale to foster stronger connections and a greater sense of belonging.
The project is designed to facilitate meaningful connections among local people, particularly by bringing together those who may not ordinarily meet and directly supporting under-represented communities and those experiencing health inequalities. The Welland Activator is focused on connection, belonging, and overall wellbeing.
Through a sensitive and inclusive approach, we will bring local stories to the forefront, create fresh creative avenues, and celebrate the unique character of the area through various forms of artistic expression.
The Welland Activator continues until late 2025, offering a diverse range of opportunities for individuals of all ages and backgrounds to participate and contribute. Find out more below!
