A celebratory dance workshop for all, come along to find joy and feel good. No prior dance experience needed!
Dance to Dolly is a dance workshop that celebrates the joy of dance and is an opportunity to come together and move to Dolly Parton’s famous tracks.
Tuesday 20th October in two locations:
Elland – 10am to 11.30am at Southgate Church, HX5 0JL.
Hebden Bridge – 1.30pm to 3pm at Hebden Bridge Town Hall, HX7 7BY
This workshop proudly celebrates International Day of Older Persons and welcomes all, specifically welcoming people aged 60 and above. We warmly welcome the LGBTQIA+ community – as Dolly said:
“I think everybody should be allowed to be who they are, and to love who they love.”
Both venues are fully accessible for wheelchair access. This is an accessible workshop with seated options available.
Run by Eve Emsley, Sam McCormick and Luke Whipp, three experienced movement practitioners who bring energy, welcome and kindness to their practices. Expect laughter, fizzing energy and space to breathe.
Please wear comfortable clothing that you can move in easily and safely, including footwear such as soft trainers. Dolly accessories welcome!
Donations
This workshop is offered on a donation basis thanks to support from Age Friendly Calderdale/Calderdale Council. Funds raised will support the work of Curious Motion and 20% of funds will be donated to Dolly's Imagination Library, an international charity that provides children with books and removes barriers to reading.
A big thank you our funders and partners for supporting these workshops.
