Curious Motion is delighted to be one of CultureDale’s key commissions, offering a range of inclusive and accessible creative health opportunities as part of the celebrations.
Our CultureDale activities also form part of year two of our three-year project, The Welland Activator: a project designed to facilitate meaningful connections among local people, particularly by bringing together those who may not ordinarily meet and directly supporting under-represented communities and those experiencing health inequalities in Elland and the lower valley.
We’re offering three special opportunities for CultureDale: season 2 of our podcast kicks off the year, followed by our new inclusive performance company open to the community, and a final celebrate at Welland Festival in October. Find out more below!
Calder Navigation is a podcast that navigates the complexities of life through the stories of the people of Calderdale. Season 2 runs throughout CultureDale, featuring more wonderful local people.
Our new inclusive performance company of both professional and non-professional dancers from Calderdale. Open to all adults, no experience needed, and it’s free to be part of! The company will make their debut performance at Welland Festival in October.
An arts for wellbeing celebration Elland. Welland is a micro-festival that focuses on making excellent creative health opportunities available to the local community through a special day of workshops, talks, performances and more.
