Susan is a freelance creative with a background in theatre and literature, with an incredible track record in organising participatory projects in communities. Her career includes: The Piece Hall (Programmer), Arvon Foundation (Centre Director), Hebden Bridge Picture House (Programmer), Chol (Director), and Hebden Bridge Arts Festival (Director).
Originally from Liverpool, Susan now lives in Hebden Bridge with husband Marc Collett – they have 2 grown up children and a cultural consultancy business together, Burns Collett. Burns Collett’s current clients include Women’s Centre Halifax, Balbir Singh Dance Company, RJC Dance, Royal Court Liverpool, and The Town Hall in Hebden Bridge.
