Everybody Dance Performance Project

An exciting opportunity to take part in a new inclusive dance performance project, aimed at encouraging self-expression, connection, and creativity. Be part of creating a new inclusive performance company for CultureDale!

This project will support you to express yourself, learn new skills, and connect more deeply with yourself, others, and the world around you.

It involves the re-imagining of ‘This Here Land’ a dance piece about togetherness, community, and celebration that we originally created in 2023. During the project you will have opportunities to get involved with the creative process, and explore other elements of performance, including music, costume, and set design. At the end of the project you will take part in a performance as part of ‘Welland Festival’, Curious Motion’s annual arts for wellbeing event in Elland.

The project is open to all adults, regardless of dance experience or level. You will be supported by Curious Motion’s professional team of dance artists who are experienced at creating flexible, interactive, friendly, inclusive, welcoming and nurturing environments.

Our aim is for this project to form a new inclusive dance ‘company’ of local adults, who will continue to meet and enjoy time creating together into 2025 and beyond too!

It is FREE to participate in this project, thanks to support from CultureDale/ Calderdale Council and the National Lottery Community Fund.
